I’m not worried as much about archival yet as maybe I ought to be… I’m using Sharpies which aren’t archival… I scan things in at 600dpi and unless and until I get famous, my originals aren’t of huge value at the moment! I think there are some white Copic markers… I know I’d like to get a set of their Greys too… I’d like to do some greyscale stuff on paper.
This is really nice! I like the softness of the colors. I especially like those small pops of white throughout, making the flower really stand out. Great work!
Nice choice of paper to introduce just a little white. Actually, the white is really perfect. Nice line work Leslie, the flowers are springing to life.
Thanks so much Barry it’s a toned sketchbook “Catchet” by Daler Rowney. I love to work on a mid toned paper partly because I can then use the white which seems to make a drawing pop a bit.
Nice… and yeah, I’m trying to think of something good to draw on non-white paper so I can use my white colored pencil too.

Ooooh cool! Can’t wait to see. White gel pens are also a good choice, though probably not archival.

Love the copic greys! Though it’s been my experience that the Copics seem to run-out pretty fast. Fortunately they are refillable.

Thanks Jenna. I’m sort of a sketchbook addict. I have to keep reminding myself to work more on canvases, watercolor paper, boards etc.
